Partners' Round Table Meeting in Malawi

Client or Partner: NEPAD Planning & Coordinating Agency

The Gender Climate Change Agriculture Support Program GCCASP is a continental initiative designed by NEPAD Agency within the context of the CAADP result framework, and national and regional CAADP investment plans as well as the AU Environment Action Plan. The goal of the GCCASP is to achieve an effective and equitable participation of African women smallholder farmers, youth and other vulnerable groups in climate-smart agricultural practices. The focus of the program is on smallholder women farmers who account up to 80 percent fo of food production and household food supply in Africa. The program is designed to be implemented in five Regional Economic Communities (RECs) represented by five countries namely, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Malawi, Niger and Rwanda. These countries have already developed their respective GCCASP under the overall guidance and coordination of NEPAD Audience, with financial and technical support from NORAD and GeoSAS respectively.

Partners' Round Table Meeting in Cameroon

Client or Partner: NEPAD Planning & Coordinating Agency

African Resource Group-Cameroon and the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and the Family of the Republic of Cameroon are organizing a Partners’ Roundtable Meeting and Launch of the National Platform Workshop on the 13th and 14th of April 2015 at the Hotel des Deputés, Yaoundé. This workshop is part of the pre-implementation phase of the Cameroonian Gender, Climate Change and Agriculture Support Programme. The programme is sponsored by the NEPAD Planning and Coordinating Agency and NORAD. Cameroon is one of five African countries selected for this programme alongside Ethiopia, Malawi, Niger and Rwanda.
