The Gender Climate Change Agriculture Support Programme GCCASP is a continental initiative designed by NEPAD Agency within the context of the CAADP result framework, and national and regional CAADP investment plans as well as the AU Environment Action Plan. The goal of the GCCASP is to achieve an effective and equitable participation of African women smallholder farmers, youth and other vulnerable groups in climate-smart agricultural practices. The programme is designed to be implemented in five Regional Economic Communities (RECs) represented by five countries namely, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Malawi, Niger and Rwanda. These countries have already developed their respective GCCASP under the overall guidance and coordination of NEPAD Adence, with financial and technical support from NORAD and GeoSAS respectively.
